A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Pocono, was established in 1997 graduating the first class in 1998. It was developed to present a unique opportunity for select individuals to learn leadership skills from those who are shaping the Poconos of tomorrow, today. Over 200 individuals have successfully completed this intensive program and are contributing to the communities they live and work in.

Our Program
Leadership Pocono offers a regional leadership training program designed to:
Strengthen the region's communities by identifying community leaders of diverse backgrounds
Develop their potential for and encouraging their acceptance of civic responsibilities and leadership
Expose leaders to the structure, opportunities, and challenges in the Pocono region
Open significant dialogue among emerging and existing leaders
Build a realistic understanding of leadership roles, including the complexities and implications of leadership
Assist to place leaders into regional leadership roles
Inspire them to be involved in our communities as leaders
Increase and support networking opportunities for leaders
