A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Pocono, was established in 1997 graduating the first class in 1998. It was developed to present a unique opportunity for select individuals to learn leadership skills from those who are shaping the Poconos of tomorrow, today. On June 24, 2010, the tenth class graduated. Over 183 individuals have successfully completed this intensive program and are contributing to the communities they live and work in.

"We find that our Leadership Pocono graduates come away from the program with a strong understanding of our community’s needs and where they can best direct their efforts in a leadership role. Not only do they benefit from the leadership training they receive but also from the invaluable opportunity they have to network with our community leaders of today. We support Leadership Pocono and its mission because we recognize the value this program provides to its graduates and to our community."
